Where the surf trip goes
San Vicente de la Barquera is an old fishing village and impresses with its beautiful landscape including breathtaking sandy beaches. Not without reason, the small town was declared a cultural asset of Cantabria! The famous and well-known Spanish town of Santander is also about 40km further east. Compared to the tourist-crowded places of southern Spain, you get here the absolute original Spain feeling in terms of the Spanish culture and way of life.

The surf school
The Spain surf school and surf camp San Vicente de la Barquera is located directly behind a large sandy beach. Here you will find several surf spots that offer both beginners and advanced guests enough surfing possibilities. But also all lazy people can either sunbathe for hours (don’t forget your sunscreen!) or even chill under a shady tree.
Restaurants, cool bars or supermarkets are located almost a few steps from the spanish Surf school San Vicente de la Barquera. The historic town centre is about a 10-12 minute walk away and leads over an antique Spanish bridge. The typical Spanish flair of Cantabria and cool people in the surf camp , will make your surfing holiday unforgettable. Even one or the other long-term friendship can arise like this!
The surf camp offers a variety of camp activities: beach volleyball, football, table tennis and above all surfing are just a few examples. There are also in-house surf contests organized where everyone who wants to participate can of course participate. The team of planetsurfcamps also organizes group trips to various attractions. This gives you a little insight into Spanish culture and can spend a cool day together.
Secret tip: There is also the so-called “party tent” where one or the other cool party rises! During the day it is then converted into a “chill tent” where you can watch DVD’s or surf movies.
The price also includes YOGA HOURS, which will help you relax all muscle groups after surfing lessons. What more could you want!
You stay in a cool glamping tent with wooden floor. We ask you to bring all sleeping utensils such as sleeping bags, varnishes or pillows! Ifyou have a small fee of € 10 you can get a proper mattress for your tent directly at the campsite. Here you can watch a glamping tent from the inside.
Your surf package also includes healthy and fresh food in the morning and evening. So you have enough energy for your surf sessions on the beach!

Multilingual licensed surf instructors teach you to surf under the best wave conditions. The surf course includes both, practice and theory units. The best surf material is of course included and is also available free of charge. Both surf beginners and advanced surfers will get their money’s worth!

Shuttle Service
Every Saturday, three times per day, there are shuttles from and to Bordeaux, Biarritz and Dax. The shuttle company is called West Coast Transfers, and you have to book directly with them. It is also possible to book private shuttles on other days of the week, but this is more expensive.
