This means that you are in Portugal in an absolute surfing paradise!
The climate in Portugal is mild all year round. In addition, you can choose between 5 climate zones. We introduce you to the different zones:
"Norte" - The North
In winter, rainfall increases in the region of Porto. As a result, this area offers you a lot of green vegetation.
In summer, you can expect temperatures between 25 and 29 degrees and the water temperature is around 16 to 18 degrees. As you can see, it is a little fresher in the north than in the south of Portugal.
However, the waves here are just as good as in other regions of Portugal.
So no matter where you book your surf camp in Portugal, the best FUN factor is guaranteed everywhere!
"Nordeste" - The Northeast
This area has what is known as a continental climate. It is very mountainous and you will find many rivers, such as the Douro.
The summers there are very hot and dry and the winters rather cold.
Surf camps Portugal: "Centro" - Central Portugal
Welcome to the beautiful capital Lisbon.
This area also offers many hills and mountains and this even makes winter sports possible here.
You can expect an average temperature of 27 degrees in summer. Especially spring (about 10 to 18 degrees) and autumn (about 11 to 25 degrees) are worth a surf tripbecause of the pleasant temperatures.
"Sul" - The South
Here we arrive at the Mediterranean climate. Here, the thermometer can sometimes reach 30 to 40 degrees in summer.
The Atlantic Ocean then brings the desired fresh cooling, because with a water temperature of around 19 degrees, it is always cooler than other water regions in Portugal.
Between May and October, we talk about summer. In winter, the daytime temperature can go down to about 16 degrees. Similar to the surf school Fuerteventura.
"As Ilhas" - The Islands of Portugal
